Are you a franchise building company?
No, Waikato Homes is independently owned and operated, therefore no franchise fees are incorporated in our clients builds. Franchises seek volume, so why be treated as a number?
Do you build cookie cutter homes?
No, we take pride in designing & building one off homes. Our plan range offers a great starting point for clients, but each home is customised to suit, and will not be replicated.
Does my home come with a Master Builder guarantee?
Yes, we include a Master Build Premium Guarantee with all new homes. For Renovations, it depends on the extent of works, but a Standard Master Build Guarantee is included as a minimum.
Can you quote & build from our Architects plans?
Yes, absolutely! We love proactive clients. We can also help with suggestions during the design process at no cost to you. Check out our Build Only option.
What kind of projects do you build?
We Specialise in Design & Build New Homes, Beach Houses, & Renovations.
How much per square meter to build a house?
This is a very common question in the industry, but with each home being customised to the client it is difficult to accuratley price using a square metre rate formula. The best option is for you to provide a budget, which gives us a point to work to. If you don't know your budget, we recommend talking to our Neighbours at Mike Pero Mortgages, to see what finance they can arrange for you.
Is there a maximum or minimum value of project you will build?
We carry out small renovations, right through to multi million dollar luxury new homes and beach houses. Our Architectural building experience helps to ensure that no matter the project, it will always be completed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
How long does it take to build a house?
With each home being unique it does vary, but as a guide most homes are finished in approximatley 20 to 24 weeks from the date your consent has been approved.
Do you do House and Land Packages?
We can, but we believe it to be more cost effective for clients to purchase a section seperately. Most companies selling house and land packages have added additional expenses to the actual cost of the section, therefore you end up paying more. But we can definitely help you find your perfect section! We can also speak to local developers on your behalf!
Do you employ carpenters or use labour only contractors
Whilst most new home building companies use labour only contractors, Waikato Homes takes pride in employing a fantastic team of carpenters and apprentices. This way we have the full control of the workmanship and timeframe of your building project. Labour only builders work to a set price for the construction of a build, therefore this can rush a build, which can affect the quality of your building project. If labour only contractors are required, then they must meet our strict criteria for workmanship, tidiness and efficiency.
Can you help with finance?
Yes, our Office & Design Showroom is situated beside Mike Pero Mortgages in Hamilton. They can tailor a fantastic finance package for you. Once you have established a budget with them, we can then put together some build options for you.
Can I speak to a qualified Builder?
Yes, absolutely! You will deal directly with our Managing Director Mark. He is a trade qualified and licensed building practitioner. He has the onsite knowledge that helps to ensure your project is designed and built to the highest standard.
